Recently, the Guangzhou International Shipping Building, which was built by Shanghai Construction Engineering Corporation (SCCEC) and constructed by Shanghai Construction Engineering Corporation (SCCEC), was formally completed. With a height of 184.5 metres and a total construction area of nearly 100,000 square metres, the building is a river view 5A super Grade A office building highlighting the theme of marine culture and shipping, and is positioned as an international shipping headquarters building with the function of industry aggregation, and is also the first shipping industry aggregation featured project constructed in the core business district of Guangzhou.
The project is the first batch of CIM platform construction pilot projects in Guangzhou. SJC insists on all-employee, all-professional and all-process BIM construction, innovates construction technology according to local conditions, and creates high-quality projects to add impetus to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the construction of the international shipping hub in Guangzhou City. Through the mobile quality inspection platform, the project realises convenient on-site management information sharing and strengthens control, and the "Reinforcing Steel Cloud Points" applet independently developed by the Fourth Construction Group is also fully applied on site. The project also realises all-round dynamic management through the intelligent site cloud platform, uses the Eye AI monitoring system to monitor the construction site in 360 degrees, carries out helmet, reflective clothing, smoking AI identification, stereotyped guardrail anti-demolition alarm identification, etc., and uses the construction site environment monitoring system to ensure green and safe construction.
During the construction process, the Guangzhou International Shipping Building Project Department actively carries forward the fine tradition of Shanghai Construction Engineering's "branch built on the project", takes the Party Building Co-construction Workstation as the entry point, actively communicates with the local social enterprises, dredges up the difficulties of the project, and creates the "regional star project", undertakes and co-organises the construction of the Guangzhou International Shipping Building. "It also undertakes and co-organises the Guangzhou Construction Craftsmen Skills Competition Preliminary Match and Haizhu District Skills Competition, District Festival Theme Activity, Dust Control Observation Meeting, Quality Month Activity, and so on. At the same time, the project team also adheres to the trinity of greening, industrialisation and digitisation, innovates construction technology, solves various problems, and always follows the principle of "sample first", making sample sections first, and then spreading the construction on a large area after reaching the standard.
In recent years, the cooperation between COSCO Shipping and Shanghai Construction Industry Corporation (SCCIC) has been deepening, and SCCIC has undertaken a number of projects for COSCO Shipping in Shanghai, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Haikou, etc., including the China Shipping Building, the renovation and expansion project of the Shipping Building, the new campus of the China Ocean Shipping University, the Xinhai Hospital in Guangzhou, and the construction project of the New Seaport Comprehensive Transportation Hub (GTC) and the supporting facilities, etc. The two sides will further expand the cooperation in terms of geography and location. The two sides will also further expand the geographical and business scope of co-operation and strengthen co-operation in new construction areas such as logistics, access roads, terminals, ports and warehouses to jointly serve the national strategy.
The completion of the Guangzhou International Shipping Tower will further give full play to the aggregation effect of COSCO Shipping's leading dry bulk international shipping company, adding strong impetus to the dream of a strong maritime nation, and will have a positive impact on the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the promotion of Guangdong Province's "Four Steps to Take the Lead in the Nation", and the improvement of the construction of Guangzhou's international shipping hub.
